وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِغَرْقًۭا١
ENBy those [angels] who extract with violence
- 2
وَٱلنَّـٰشِطَـٰتِنَشْطًۭا٢
ENAnd [by] those who remove with ease
- 3
وَٱلسَّـٰبِحَـٰتِسَبْحًۭا٣
ENAnd [by] those who glide [as if] swimming
- 4
فَٱلسَّـٰبِقَـٰتِسَبْقًۭا٤
ENAnd those who race each other in a race
- 5
فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِأَمْرًۭا٥
ENAnd those who arrange [each] matter,
- 6
يَوْمَتَرْجُفُٱلرَّاجِفَةُ٦
ENOn the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],
- 7
تَتْبَعُهَاٱلرَّادِفَةُ٧
ENThere will follow it the subsequent [one].
- 8
قُلُوبٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢوَاجِفَةٌ٨
ENHearts, that Day, will tremble,
- 9
أَبْصَـٰرُهَاخَـٰشِعَةٌۭ٩
ENTheir eyes humbled.
- 10
يَقُولُونَأَءِنَّالَمَرْدُودُونَفِىٱلْحَافِرَةِ١٠
ENThey are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?
- 11
أَءِذَاكُنَّاعِظَـٰمًۭانَّخِرَةًۭ١١
ENEven if we should be decayed bones?
- 12
قَالُوا۟تِلْكَإِذًۭاكَرَّةٌخَاسِرَةٌۭ١٢
ENThey say, "That, then, would be a losing return."
- 13
فَإِنَّمَاهِىَزَجْرَةٌۭوَٰحِدَةٌۭ١٣
ENIndeed, it will be but one shout,
- 14
فَإِذَاهُمبِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ١٤
ENAnd suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.
- 15
هَلْأَتَىٰكَحَدِيثُمُوسَىٰٓ١٥
ENHas there reached you the story of Moses? -

إِذْنَادَىٰهُرَبُّهُۥبِٱلْوَادِٱلْمُقَدَّسِطُوًى١٦
ENWhen his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,
- 17
ٱذْهَبْإِلَىٰفِرْعَوْنَإِنَّهُۥطَغَىٰ١٧

فَقُلْهَللَّكَإِلَىٰٓأَنتَزَكَّىٰ١٨
ENAnd say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself
- 19
وَأَهْدِيَكَإِلَىٰرَبِّكَفَتَخْشَىٰ١٩
ENAnd let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'"
- 20
فَأَرَىٰهُٱلْـَٔايَةَٱلْكُبْرَىٰ٢٠
ENAnd he showed him the greatest sign,
- 21
فَكَذَّبَوَعَصَىٰ٢١
ENBut Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.

فَأَخَذَهُٱللَّهُنَكَالَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِوَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ٢٥
ENSo Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].
- 26
إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَعِبْرَةًۭلِّمَنيَخْشَىٰٓ٢٦
ENIndeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah].
- 27
ءَأَنتُمْأَشَدُّخَلْقًاأَمِٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚبَنَىٰهَا٢٧

- 28
رَفَعَسَمْكَهَافَسَوَّىٰهَا٢٨
ENHe raised its ceiling and proportioned it.
- 29
وَأَغْطَشَلَيْلَهَاوَأَخْرَجَضُحَىٰهَا٢٩
ENAnd He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.
- 30
وَٱلْأَرْضَبَعْدَذَٰلِكَدَحَىٰهَآ٣٠
ENAnd after that He spread the earth.
- 31
أَخْرَجَمِنْهَامَآءَهَاوَمَرْعَىٰهَا٣١
ENHe extracted from it its water and its pasture,
- 32
وَٱلْجِبَالَأَرْسَىٰهَا٣٢
ENAnd the mountains He set firmly
- 33
مَتَـٰعًۭالَّكُمْوَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْ٣٣
ENAs provision for you and your grazing livestock.
- 34
فَإِذَاجَآءَتِٱلطَّآمَّةُٱلْكُبْرَىٰ٣٤
ENBut when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity -
- 35
يَوْمَيَتَذَكَّرُٱلْإِنسَـٰنُمَاسَعَىٰ٣٥
ENThe Day when man will remember that for which he strove,
- 36
وَبُرِّزَتِٱلْجَحِيمُلِمَنيَرَىٰ٣٦
ENAnd Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see -
- 37
فَأَمَّامَنطَغَىٰ٣٧
ENSo as for he who transgressed
- 38
وَءَاثَرَٱلْحَيَوٰةَٱلدُّنْيَا٣٨
ENAnd preferred the life of the world,
- 39
فَإِنَّٱلْجَحِيمَهِىَٱلْمَأْوَىٰ٣٩
ENThen indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.
- 40
وَأَمَّامَنْخَافَمَقَامَرَبِّهِۦوَنَهَىٱلنَّفْسَعَنِٱلْهَوَىٰ٤٠
ENBut as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,

فِيمَأَنتَمِنذِكْرَىٰهَآ٤٣
ENIn what [position] are you that you should mention it?

إِلَىٰرَبِّكَمُنتَهَىٰهَآ٤٤
ENTo your Lord is its finality.
