۞Deen Path

The 8-week beginner path

Small steps. One goal a week. No pressure, no shame — just gentle progress.

  1. Week 1 — Saying hello to Allah

    Week 1

Get comfortable with the basics. No pressure.

    • Read the Six Articles of Faith and Five Pillars on the Glossary page.
    • Listen to Surah Al-Fatiha twice a day on the Quran page (1:1).
    • Memorise the meaning of 'Bismillah' — In the name of Allah.
  2. Week 2 — Wudu and one prayer a day

    Week 2

Pick the easiest prayer time for you (Maghrib is great) and pray it daily.

    • Watch the wudu and prayer steps on the 'How to Pray' page.
    • Pray Maghrib (3 rakahs) every day this week.
    • It's okay if it's clumsy. Allah loves consistency.
  3. Week 3 — Add Fajr or Isha

    Week 3

    Two daily prayers.

    • Keep Maghrib. Add either Fajr (early but short) or Isha (relaxed and end-of-day).
    • Memorise Surah Al-Ikhlas (112) — three short verses.
    • Read one dua from the Dua Library each morning.
  4. Week 4 — Five prayers, five tries

    Week 4

Try all five daily prayers, even if some are short.

    • Set phone reminders for all five prayer times.
    • If you miss one, don't despair. Make it up if you can, then move on.
    • Memorise Surah An-Nas (114).
  5. Week 5 — The Quran enters daily life

    Week 5

Read 5 verses a day with translation.

    • Start with Surah Al-Mulk (67) — a favourite of the Prophet ﷺ before sleep.
    • Read 5 verses with the Bosnian Korkut or English Sahih translation.
    • Sit for 60 seconds afterwards. Notice what stayed with you.
  6. Week 6 — Find a community

    Week 6

Visit a mosque, even just to look around.

    • Use the Mosque Finder to locate the nearest one.
    • Aim for Maghrib or Jumu'ah (Friday) prayer — friendliest entry point.
    • Don't worry about getting it 'right'. Stand at the back, follow along.
  7. Week 7 — The Prophet's character

    Week 7

Learn who the Prophet ﷺ really was.

    • Watch one short Seerah (life of the Prophet) video on the Lectures page.
    • Notice his honesty, mercy, humour, patience.
    • Send salawat — 'Allahumma salli ala Muhammad' — at least 10 times daily.
  8. Week 8 — Reflect and choose what's next

    Week 8

Look back. What's working? What's hard? What do you want to deepen?

    • Open the AI Tutor and ask: 'What should I learn next? I've been doing X.'
    • Pick ONE area: Quran, Salah, character, dua, or family/community.
    • Write a short journal entry — even three sentences.
