Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 May 2026 · Version 1.1
These terms govern your use of Deen Path at mydeenpath.com and of the Deen Path Android application (package com.bozmaps.deenpath). By signing in or paying for access, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Deen Path is operated by Semir Kahrimanović, a sole trader established in the United Kingdom, trading as Bozmaps. Contact: support@mydeenpath.com.
These terms are written in English and the English version is the authoritative one. We are progressively publishing translations of this page and of the Privacy Policy in each of the languages the Service supports (Bosnian, Arabic, Turkish, German, French, Urdu, and Bengali); where a translation differs from the English text, the English text prevails.
1. What Deen Path is
Deen Path is a beginner-friendly companion for studying the Quran, Salah, duas, and the teachings of Islam, in Bosnian and English. It includes an AI tutor (the “imam-advisor”), a salah journal, prayer times, qibla direction, and curated content.
It is not a fatwa service, a replacement for a qualified imam, or a source of binding rulings. For matters that require pastoral or scholarly judgment (divorce, inheritance, complex finance, mental-health crises, end-of-life), please seek a qualified local imam.
2. Your account
You sign in with an email address and a password of your choosing. Use a strong, unique password and keep both your password and the inbox tied to that email account secure: anyone who gains access to your password, or to your email account (because that's where password-reset links are delivered), could sign in as you. Tell us right away at support@mydeenpath.com if you suspect either has been compromised, and use the “change password” option in your account page if you would like to rotate it.
3. Pricing and payment
Deen Path + is offered in two plans, both priced in GBP:
- Monthly: £2.99 per month, billed automatically each month until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate part-months.
- Lifetime: £20 paid once, for lifetime access. There is no subscription, no automatic renewal, and no recurring charge on this plan.
Payment is processed by Stripe; see Stripe's terms for their part. You can manage or cancel a monthly subscription at any time from the “Manage billing” link on your account page.
“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the service. If we ever cease to operate Deen Path, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice, provide a way to export your data, and refund lifetime members who purchased within the prior 12 months.
Charitable contribution. Deen Path commits to setting aside 10% of net revenue received (subscriptions, lifetime purchases, and donations, less payment-processor fees, refunds, and any unavoidable taxes) and donating the pooled amount to vetted Muslim charities. We aim to make the donation at least once per calendar quarter; if processing fees or refunds in a given quarter would leave the pool nominal, we may roll it into the following quarter rather than incur disproportionate transaction costs. We publish each donation, naming the recipient charity, the amount, and the date, on the /donate page. If for any reason we are unable to honour this commitment in a given quarter, we will say so on the same page and explain why.
4. Refunds and the 14-day cancellation right
Monthly: Cancel any time from the billing portal. You will not be charged again from the next billing cycle. We do not issue partial-month refunds.
Lifetime — 14-day cancellation right and how it is waived. Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you ordinarily have 14 days from the day after purchase in which to cancel the lifetime upgrade and receive a full refund. Because Deen Path + is digital content delivered immediately, the regulations also permit you to waive that right at the point of purchase if (a) you give your express consent that performance should begin straight away and (b) you acknowledge that, by doing so, the 14-day cancellation right is lost.
Our Stripe Checkout page for the lifetime upgrade therefore asks you to tick a box giving that express consent and acknowledgement before payment is taken. If you tick the box and complete the purchase, your account is upgraded immediately and the 14-day cancellation right does not apply to the upgrade itself. If you would prefer to preserve the 14-day right, do not tick the box, do not sign in or use any Deen Path + feature, and email us within 14 days to receive a full refund.
Regardless of the waiver, if you experience a technical fault, an accidental duplicate purchase, or any other genuine issue, email support@mydeenpath.com and we will work it out fairly. Nothing in this Section 4 affects any non-excludable statutory right you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in respect of digital content that is not as described, not of satisfactory quality, or not fit for purpose.
5. Religious content
Translations: Korkut (Bosnian) and Sahih International (English) for the Quran. Hadiths cited from canonical Sunni collections. The AI tutor is instructed to follow mainstream Sunni Hanafi-aligned scholarship and never to invent citations, but it is an imperfect tool. Always cross-check anything that matters with a qualified human scholar.
6. Acceptable use
Don't:
- share your account with others outside your household,
- scrape, mass-download, or republish the AI tutor's output as if it were your own scholarship,
- attempt to break, exploit, or attack the service.
7. Intellectual property
Quran translations and audio are used under the licences of their respective providers (alquran.cloud / various editions). The Deen Path interface, branding, and curated content are © Deen Path. The Quran itself is the word of Allah and is not owned by anyone.
8. Disclaimers and liability
Nature of the Service. Deen Path is an educational and devotional companion. Nothing in the Service — including the AI tutor, the Recognise feature, the prayer-time calculations, the qibla bearing, the dua and hadith libraries, or any other component — constitutes legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, mental-health advice, or a binding religious ruling (fatwa). For matters that affect your legal status, finances, health, or religious obligations, please consult a qualified professional and a qualified local imam. The AI tutor in particular is an automated text generator that can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date; do not rely on any single reply for matters of consequence without cross-checking with a human scholar.
“As is” basis. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components, that any specific prayer time, qibla bearing, or AI-tutor reply will be accurate, or that the Service will meet your particular requirements.
Excluded losses. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, or loss of data or content (other than personal data, which is governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law).
Aggregate cap. Subject to the carve-outs in the next paragraph, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for Deen Path + in that period, or (b) £100.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, (iii) any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales, including statutory rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@mydeenpath.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. If we terminate your account through no fault of your own, we'll refund any unused portion of your plan on a pro-rata basis (monthly: the remainder of the current month; lifetime: a fair pro-rata refund within the first 12 months of purchase).
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales. Any dispute that can't be resolved by talking to us in good faith is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to active users.
