Why we need support

Deen Path is not backed by investors, agencies, or ad networks. It runs on subscriptions, lifetime purchases, and the generosity of people who can afford to give. Here is exactly where your money goes.

Keep the core free, forever

The Quran, prayer times, qibla, duʿas, transliteration, and how-to-pray are free with no ads — and we want to keep it that way. Donations cover the hosting, audio bandwidth, and API costs that make that possible for users in countries where £2.99 is real money.

10% of every payment goes to charity

Every Deen + subscription, every lifetime purchase, and every donation has 10% set aside for vetted Muslim charities — water projects, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan iftar provision. We publish each quarterly donation receipt on this page so you can see exactly where the money went.

Built by one person, with intention

Deen Path is built by Semir, a Bosnian Muslim developer in the UK. Solo founder. No investors, no advertising contracts, no data sales. Your support pays for the time and the running costs, nothing else.

Reach Muslims who can't afford to subscribe

Around a third of our users open Deen Path from countries where £2.99 is a meaningful expense. Donations from those who can give let us keep Deen + accessible to those who can't — by funding sponsored access and translation work in underserved languages.

Pay for what makes the app special

Female reciter licensing, expanded tafsir libraries, offline audio cached on Cloudflare, and the AI tutor's per-question Gemini cost — these add up. Donations keep us building the features that don't exist anywhere else in the category.

Sadaqah jariyah — give for the akhirah

If a person learns to pray, recites an ayah, or finds peace through something you helped fund, the reward continues for as long as that benefit lasts. Hadith: "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him." (Muslim)

Where the 10% goes

Every quarter we add up 10% of all Deen + subscriptions, lifetime purchases, and donations received in the previous three months, and split the total across vetted Muslim charities working on:

  • Clean water — wells and water systems through Islamic Relief and MATW.
  • Orphan sponsorship — monthly sponsorship of children through Penny Appeal and MATW.
  • Ramadan iftar provision — meals during Ramadan in Yemen, Gaza, Bosnia, and East Africa.

Each quarterly donation receipt is published below. If a quarter has nothing listed, it means the quarter is still in progress — we publish receipts within 14 days of the end of every quarter (March, June, September, December).
