    طسٓمٓ١

    ENTa, Seen, Meem.

  2. 2

    تِلْكَءَايَـٰتُٱلْكِتَـٰبِٱلْمُبِينِ٢

    ENThese are the verses of the clear Book.

  3. 3

    لَعَلَّكَبَـٰخِعٌۭنَّفْسَكَأَلَّايَكُونُوا۟مُؤْمِنِينَ٣

    ENPerhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers.

  4. 4

    إِننَّشَأْنُنَزِّلْعَلَيْهِممِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِءَايَةًۭفَظَلَّتْأَعْنَـٰقُهُمْلَهَاخَـٰضِعِينَ٤

    ENIf We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled.

  5. 5

    وَمَايَأْتِيهِممِّنذِكْرٍۢمِّنَٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِمُحْدَثٍإِلَّاكَانُوا۟عَنْهُمُعْرِضِينَ٥

    ENAnd no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.

  6. 6

    فَقَدْكَذَّبُوا۟فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْأَنۢبَـٰٓؤُا۟مَاكَانُوا۟بِهِۦيَسْتَهْزِءُونَ٦

    ENFor they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule.

  7. 7

    أَوَلَمْيَرَوْا۟إِلَىٱلْأَرْضِكَمْأَنۢبَتْنَافِيهَامِنكُلِّزَوْجٍۢكَرِيمٍ٧

    ENDid they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind?

  8. 8

    إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ٨

    ENIndeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

  9. 9

    وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ٩

    ENAnd indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

  10. 10

    وَإِذْنَادَىٰرَبُّكَمُوسَىٰٓأَنِٱئْتِٱلْقَوْمَٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ١٠

    ENAnd [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people -

  11. 11

    قَوْمَفِرْعَوْنَ ۚأَلَايَتَّقُونَ١١

    ENThe people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?"

  12. 12

    قَالَرَبِّإِنِّىٓأَخَافُأَنيُكَذِّبُونِ١٢

    ENHe said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me

  13. 13

    وَيَضِيقُصَدْرِىوَلَايَنطَلِقُلِسَانِىفَأَرْسِلْإِلَىٰهَـٰرُونَ١٣

    ENAnd that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron.

  14. 14

    وَلَهُمْعَلَىَّذَنۢبٌۭفَأَخَافُأَنيَقْتُلُونِ١٤

    ENAnd they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me."

  15. 15

    قَالَكَلَّا ۖفَٱذْهَبَابِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ ۖإِنَّامَعَكُممُّسْتَمِعُونَ١٥

    EN[Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening.

  16. 16

    فَأْتِيَافِرْعَوْنَفَقُولَآإِنَّارَسُولُرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ١٦

    ENGo to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds,

  17. 17

    أَنْأَرْسِلْمَعَنَابَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ١٧

    EN[Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'"

  18. 18

    قَالَأَلَمْنُرَبِّكَفِينَاوَلِيدًۭاوَلَبِثْتَفِينَامِنْعُمُرِكَسِنِينَ١٨

    EN[Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life?

  19. 19

    وَفَعَلْتَفَعْلَتَكَٱلَّتِىفَعَلْتَوَأَنتَمِنَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ١٩

    ENAnd [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful."

  20. 20

    قَالَفَعَلْتُهَآإِذًۭاوَأَنَا۠مِنَٱلضَّآلِّينَ٢٠

    EN[Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray.

  21. 21

    فَفَرَرْتُمِنكُمْلَمَّاخِفْتُكُمْفَوَهَبَلِىرَبِّىحُكْمًۭاوَجَعَلَنِىمِنَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ٢١

    ENSo I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers.

  22. 22

    وَتِلْكَنِعْمَةٌۭتَمُنُّهَاعَلَىَّأَنْعَبَّدتَّبَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ٢٢

    ENAnd is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?"

  23. 23

    قَالَفِرْعَوْنُوَمَارَبُّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ٢٣

    ENSaid Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?"

  24. 24

    قَالَرَبُّٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِوَٱلْأَرْضِوَمَابَيْنَهُمَآ ۖإِنكُنتُممُّوقِنِينَ٢٤

    EN[Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced."

  25. 25

    قَالَلِمَنْحَوْلَهُۥٓأَلَاتَسْتَمِعُونَ٢٥

    EN[Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?"

  26. 26

    قَالَرَبُّكُمْوَرَبُّءَابَآئِكُمُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ٢٦

    EN[Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers."

  27. 27

    قَالَإِنَّرَسُولَكُمُٱلَّذِىٓأُرْسِلَإِلَيْكُمْلَمَجْنُونٌۭ٢٧

    EN[Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad."

  28. 28

    قَالَرَبُّٱلْمَشْرِقِوَٱلْمَغْرِبِوَمَابَيْنَهُمَآ ۖإِنكُنتُمْتَعْقِلُونَ٢٨

    EN[Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason."

  29. 29

    قَالَلَئِنِٱتَّخَذْتَإِلَـٰهًاغَيْرِىلَأَجْعَلَنَّكَمِنَٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ٢٩

    EN[Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned."

  30. 30

    قَالَأَوَلَوْجِئْتُكَبِشَىْءٍۢمُّبِينٍۢ٣٠

    EN[Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?"

  31. 31

    قَالَفَأْتِبِهِۦٓإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ٣١

    EN[Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful."

  32. 32

    فَأَلْقَىٰعَصَاهُفَإِذَاهِىَثُعْبَانٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ٣٢

    ENSo [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest.

  33. 33

    وَنَزَعَيَدَهُۥفَإِذَاهِىَبَيْضَآءُلِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ٣٣

    ENAnd he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers.

  34. 34

    قَالَلِلْمَلَإِحَوْلَهُۥٓإِنَّهَـٰذَالَسَـٰحِرٌعَلِيمٌۭ٣٤

    EN[Pharaoh] said to the eminent ones around him, "Indeed, this is a learned magician.

  35. 35

    يُرِيدُأَنيُخْرِجَكُممِّنْأَرْضِكُمبِسِحْرِهِۦفَمَاذَاتَأْمُرُونَ٣٥

    ENHe wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?"

  36. 36

    قَالُوٓا۟أَرْجِهْوَأَخَاهُوَٱبْعَثْفِىٱلْمَدَآئِنِحَـٰشِرِينَ٣٦

    ENThey said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers

  37. 37

    يَأْتُوكَبِكُلِّسَحَّارٍعَلِيمٍۢ٣٧

    ENWho will bring you every learned, skilled magician."

  38. 38

    فَجُمِعَٱلسَّحَرَةُلِمِيقَـٰتِيَوْمٍۢمَّعْلُومٍۢ٣٨

    ENSo the magicians were assembled for the appointment of a well-known day.

  39. 39

    وَقِيلَلِلنَّاسِهَلْأَنتُممُّجْتَمِعُونَ٣٩

    ENAnd it was said to the people, "Will you congregate

  40. 40

    لَعَلَّنَانَتَّبِعُٱلسَّحَرَةَإِنكَانُوا۟هُمُٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ٤٠

    ENThat we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant?"

  41. 41

    فَلَمَّاجَآءَٱلسَّحَرَةُقَالُوا۟لِفِرْعَوْنَأَئِنَّلَنَالَأَجْرًاإِنكُنَّانَحْنُٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ٤١

    ENAnd when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?"

  42. 42

    قَالَنَعَمْوَإِنَّكُمْإِذًۭالَّمِنَٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ٤٢

    ENHe said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]."

  43. 43

    قَالَلَهُممُّوسَىٰٓأَلْقُوا۟مَآأَنتُممُّلْقُونَ٤٣

    ENMoses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw."

  44. 44

    فَأَلْقَوْا۟حِبَالَهُمْوَعِصِيَّهُمْوَقَالُوا۟بِعِزَّةِفِرْعَوْنَإِنَّالَنَحْنُٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ٤٤

    ENSo they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant."

  45. 45

    فَأَلْقَىٰمُوسَىٰعَصَاهُفَإِذَاهِىَتَلْقَفُمَايَأْفِكُونَ٤٥

    ENThen Moses threw his staff, and at once it devoured what they falsified.

  46. 46

    فَأُلْقِىَٱلسَّحَرَةُسَـٰجِدِينَ٤٦

    ENSo the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah].

  47. 47

    قَالُوٓا۟ءَامَنَّابِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ٤٧

    ENThey said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds,

  48. 48

    رَبِّمُوسَىٰوَهَـٰرُونَ٤٨

    ENThe Lord of Moses and Aaron."

  49. 49

    قَالَءَامَنتُمْلَهُۥقَبْلَأَنْءَاذَنَلَكُمْ ۖإِنَّهُۥلَكَبِيرُكُمُٱلَّذِىعَلَّمَكُمُٱلسِّحْرَفَلَسَوْفَتَعْلَمُونَ ۚلَأُقَطِّعَنَّأَيْدِيَكُمْوَأَرْجُلَكُممِّنْخِلَـٰفٍۢوَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْأَجْمَعِينَ٤٩

    EN[Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all."

  50. 50

    قَالُوا۟لَاضَيْرَ ۖإِنَّآإِلَىٰرَبِّنَامُنقَلِبُونَ٥٠

    ENThey said, "No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.

  51. 51

    إِنَّانَطْمَعُأَنيَغْفِرَلَنَارَبُّنَاخَطَـٰيَـٰنَآأَنكُنَّآأَوَّلَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ٥١

    ENIndeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers."

  52. 52

    ۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَىٰمُوسَىٰٓأَنْأَسْرِبِعِبَادِىٓإِنَّكُممُّتَّبَعُونَ٥٢

    ENAnd We inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued."

  53. 53

    فَأَرْسَلَفِرْعَوْنُفِىٱلْمَدَآئِنِحَـٰشِرِينَ٥٣

    ENThen Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers

  54. 54

    إِنَّهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِلَشِرْذِمَةٌۭقَلِيلُونَ٥٤

    EN[And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band,

  55. 55

    وَإِنَّهُمْلَنَالَغَآئِظُونَ٥٥

    ENAnd indeed, they are enraging us,

  56. 56

    وَإِنَّالَجَمِيعٌحَـٰذِرُونَ٥٦

    ENAnd indeed, we are a cautious society... "

  57. 57

    فَأَخْرَجْنَـٰهُممِّنجَنَّـٰتٍۢوَعُيُونٍۢ٥٧

    ENSo We removed them from gardens and springs

  58. 58

    وَكُنُوزٍۢوَمَقَامٍۢكَرِيمٍۢ٥٨

    ENAnd treasures and honorable station -

  59. 59

    كَذَٰلِكَوَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَابَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ٥٩

    ENThus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel.

  60. 60

    فَأَتْبَعُوهُممُّشْرِقِينَ٦٠

    ENSo they pursued them at sunrise.

  61. 61

    فَلَمَّاتَرَٰٓءَاٱلْجَمْعَانِقَالَأَصْحَـٰبُمُوسَىٰٓإِنَّالَمُدْرَكُونَ٦١

    ENAnd when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!"

  62. 62

    قَالَكَلَّآ ۖإِنَّمَعِىَرَبِّىسَيَهْدِينِ٦٢

    EN[Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me."

  63. 63

    فَأَوْحَيْنَآإِلَىٰمُوسَىٰٓأَنِٱضْرِببِّعَصَاكَٱلْبَحْرَ ۖفَٱنفَلَقَفَكَانَكُلُّفِرْقٍۢكَٱلطَّوْدِٱلْعَظِيمِ٦٣

    ENThen We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain.

  64. 64

    وَأَزْلَفْنَاثَمَّٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ٦٤

    ENAnd We advanced thereto the pursuers.

  65. 65

    وَأَنجَيْنَامُوسَىٰوَمَنمَّعَهُۥٓأَجْمَعِينَ٦٥

    ENAnd We saved Moses and those with him, all together.

  66. 66

    ثُمَّأَغْرَقْنَاٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ٦٦

    ENThen We drowned the others.

  67. 67

    إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ٦٧

    ENIndeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

  68. 68

    وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ٦٨

    ENAnd indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

  69. 69

    وَٱتْلُعَلَيْهِمْنَبَأَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ٦٩

    ENAnd recite to them the news of Abraham,

  70. 70

    إِذْقَالَلِأَبِيهِوَقَوْمِهِۦمَاتَعْبُدُونَ٧٠

    ENWhen he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"

  71. 71

    قَالُوا۟نَعْبُدُأَصْنَامًۭافَنَظَلُّلَهَاعَـٰكِفِينَ٧١

    ENThey said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."

  72. 72

    قَالَهَلْيَسْمَعُونَكُمْإِذْتَدْعُونَ٧٢

    ENHe said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate?

  73. 73

    أَوْيَنفَعُونَكُمْأَوْيَضُرُّونَ٧٣

    ENOr do they benefit you, or do they harm?"

  74. 74

    قَالُوا۟بَلْوَجَدْنَآءَابَآءَنَاكَذَٰلِكَيَفْعَلُونَ٧٤

    ENThey said, "But we found our fathers doing thus."

  75. 75

    قَالَأَفَرَءَيْتُممَّاكُنتُمْتَعْبُدُونَ٧٥

    ENHe said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping,

  76. 76

    أَنتُمْوَءَابَآؤُكُمُٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ٧٦

    ENYou and your ancient forefathers?

  77. 77

    فَإِنَّهُمْعَدُوٌّۭلِّىٓإِلَّارَبَّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ٧٧

    ENIndeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds,

  78. 78

    ٱلَّذِىخَلَقَنِىفَهُوَيَهْدِينِ٧٨

    ENWho created me, and He [it is who] guides me.

  79. 79

    وَٱلَّذِىهُوَيُطْعِمُنِىوَيَسْقِينِ٧٩

    ENAnd it is He who feeds me and gives me drink.

  80. 80

    وَإِذَامَرِضْتُفَهُوَيَشْفِينِ٨٠

    ENAnd when I am ill, it is He who cures me

  81. 81

    وَٱلَّذِىيُمِيتُنِىثُمَّيُحْيِينِ٨١

    ENAnd who will cause me to die and then bring me to life

  82. 82

    وَٱلَّذِىٓأَطْمَعُأَنيَغْفِرَلِىخَطِيٓـَٔتِىيَوْمَٱلدِّينِ٨٢

    ENAnd who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."

  83. 83

    رَبِّهَبْلِىحُكْمًۭاوَأَلْحِقْنِىبِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ٨٣

    EN[And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.

  84. 84

    وَٱجْعَللِّىلِسَانَصِدْقٍۢفِىٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ٨٤

    ENAnd grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.

  85. 85

    وَٱجْعَلْنِىمِنوَرَثَةِجَنَّةِٱلنَّعِيمِ٨٥

    ENAnd place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure.

  86. 86

    وَٱغْفِرْلِأَبِىٓإِنَّهُۥكَانَمِنَٱلضَّآلِّينَ٨٦

    ENAnd forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray.

  87. 87

    وَلَاتُخْزِنِىيَوْمَيُبْعَثُونَ٨٧

    ENAnd do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected -

  88. 88

    يَوْمَلَايَنفَعُمَالٌۭوَلَابَنُونَ٨٨

    ENThe Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children

  89. 89

    إِلَّامَنْأَتَىٱللَّهَبِقَلْبٍۢسَلِيمٍۢ٨٩

    ENBut only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart."

  90. 90

    وَأُزْلِفَتِٱلْجَنَّةُلِلْمُتَّقِينَ٩٠

    ENAnd Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous.

  91. 91

    وَبُرِّزَتِٱلْجَحِيمُلِلْغَاوِينَ٩١

    ENAnd Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators,

  92. 92

    وَقِيلَلَهُمْأَيْنَمَاكُنتُمْتَعْبُدُونَ٩٢

    ENAnd it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship

  93. 93

    مِندُونِٱللَّهِهَلْيَنصُرُونَكُمْأَوْيَنتَصِرُونَ٩٣

    ENOther than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?"

  94. 94

    فَكُبْكِبُوا۟فِيهَاهُمْوَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ٩٤

    ENSo they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators

  95. 95

    وَجُنُودُإِبْلِيسَأَجْمَعُونَ٩٥

    ENAnd the soldiers of Iblees, all together.

  96. 96

    قَالُوا۟وَهُمْفِيهَايَخْتَصِمُونَ٩٦

    ENThey will say while they dispute therein,

  97. 97

    تَٱللَّهِإِنكُنَّالَفِىضَلَـٰلٍۢمُّبِينٍ٩٧

    EN"By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error

  98. 98

    إِذْنُسَوِّيكُمبِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ٩٨

    ENWhen we equated you with the Lord of the worlds.

  99. 99

    وَمَآأَضَلَّنَآإِلَّاٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ٩٩

    ENAnd no one misguided us except the criminals.

  100. 100

    فَمَالَنَامِنشَـٰفِعِينَ١٠٠

    ENSo now we have no intercessors

  101. 101

    وَلَاصَدِيقٍحَمِيمٍۢ١٠١

    ENAnd not a devoted friend.

  102. 102

    فَلَوْأَنَّلَنَاكَرَّةًۭفَنَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ١٠٢

    ENThen if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... "

  103. 103

    إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ١٠٣

    ENIndeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

  104. 104

    وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ١٠٤

    ENAnd indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

  105. 105

    كَذَّبَتْقَوْمُنُوحٍٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ١٠٥

    ENThe people of Noah denied the messengers

  106. 106

    إِذْقَالَلَهُمْأَخُوهُمْنُوحٌأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ١٠٦

    ENWhen their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

  107. 107

    إِنِّىلَكُمْرَسُولٌأَمِينٌۭ١٠٧

    ENIndeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

  108. 108

    فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ١٠٨

    ENSo fear Allah and obey me.

  109. 109

    وَمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍ ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ١٠٩

    ENAnd I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

  110. 110

    فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ١١٠

    ENSo fear Allah and obey me."

  111. 111

    ۞ قَالُوٓا۟أَنُؤْمِنُلَكَوَٱتَّبَعَكَٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ١١١

    ENThey said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?"

  112. 112

    قَالَوَمَاعِلْمِىبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ١١٢

    ENHe said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do?

  113. 113

    إِنْحِسَابُهُمْإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّى ۖلَوْتَشْعُرُونَ١١٣

    ENTheir account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive.

  114. 114

    وَمَآأَنَا۠بِطَارِدِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ١١٤

    ENAnd I am not one to drive away the believers.

  115. 115

    إِنْأَنَا۠إِلَّانَذِيرٌۭمُّبِينٌۭ١١٥

    ENI am only a clear warner."

  116. 116

    قَالُوا۟لَئِنلَّمْتَنتَهِيَـٰنُوحُلَتَكُونَنَّمِنَٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ١١٦

    ENThey said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned."

  117. 117

    قَالَرَبِّإِنَّقَوْمِىكَذَّبُونِ١١٧

    ENHe said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me.

  118. 118

    فَٱفْتَحْبَيْنِىوَبَيْنَهُمْفَتْحًۭاوَنَجِّنِىوَمَنمَّعِىَمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ١١٨

    ENThen judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers."

  119. 119

    فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُوَمَنمَّعَهُۥفِىٱلْفُلْكِٱلْمَشْحُونِ١١٩

    ENSo We saved him and those with him in the laden ship.

  120. 120

    ثُمَّأَغْرَقْنَابَعْدُٱلْبَاقِينَ١٢٠

    ENThen We drowned thereafter the remaining ones.

  121. 121

    إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ١٢١

    ENIndeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

  122. 122

    وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ١٢٢

    ENAnd indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

  123. 123

    كَذَّبَتْعَادٌٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ١٢٣

    EN'Aad denied the messengers

  124. 124

    إِذْقَالَلَهُمْأَخُوهُمْهُودٌأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ١٢٤

    ENWhen their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

  125. 125

    إِنِّىلَكُمْرَسُولٌأَمِينٌۭ١٢٥

    ENIndeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

  126. 126

    فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ١٢٦

    ENSo fear Allah and obey me.

  127. 127

    وَمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍ ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ١٢٧

    ENAnd I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

  128. 128

    أَتَبْنُونَبِكُلِّرِيعٍءَايَةًۭتَعْبَثُونَ١٢٨

    ENDo you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves,

  129. 129

    وَتَتَّخِذُونَمَصَانِعَلَعَلَّكُمْتَخْلُدُونَ١٢٩

    ENAnd take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally?

  130. 130

    وَإِذَابَطَشْتُمبَطَشْتُمْجَبَّارِينَ١٣٠

    ENAnd when you strike, you strike as tyrants.

  131. 131

    فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ١٣١

    ENSo fear Allah and obey me.

  132. 132

    وَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱلَّذِىٓأَمَدَّكُمبِمَاتَعْلَمُونَ١٣٢

    ENAnd fear He who provided you with that which you know,

  133. 133

    أَمَدَّكُمبِأَنْعَـٰمٍۢوَبَنِينَ١٣٣

    ENProvided you with grazing livestock and children

  134. 134

    وَجَنَّـٰتٍۢوَعُيُونٍ١٣٤

    ENAnd gardens and springs.

  135. 135

    إِنِّىٓأَخَافُعَلَيْكُمْعَذَابَيَوْمٍعَظِيمٍۢ١٣٥

    ENIndeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."

  136. 136

    قَالُوا۟سَوَآءٌعَلَيْنَآأَوَعَظْتَأَمْلَمْتَكُنمِّنَٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ١٣٦

    ENThey said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors.

  137. 137

    إِنْهَـٰذَآإِلَّاخُلُقُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ١٣٧

    ENThis is not but the custom of the former peoples,

  138. 138

    وَمَانَحْنُبِمُعَذَّبِينَ١٣٨

    ENAnd we are not to be punished."

  139. 139

    فَكَذَّبُوهُفَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ١٣٩

    ENAnd they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

  140. 140

    وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ١٤٠

    ENAnd indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

  141. 141

    كَذَّبَتْثَمُودُٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ١٤١

    ENThamud denied the messengers

  142. 142

    إِذْقَالَلَهُمْأَخُوهُمْصَـٰلِحٌأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ١٤٢

    ENWhen their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

  143. 143

    إِنِّىلَكُمْرَسُولٌأَمِينٌۭ١٤٣

    ENIndeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

  144. 144

    فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ١٤٤

    ENSo fear Allah and obey me.

  145. 145

    وَمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍ ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ١٤٥

    ENAnd I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

  146. 146

    أَتُتْرَكُونَفِىمَاهَـٰهُنَآءَامِنِينَ١٤٦

    ENWill you be left in what is here, secure [from death],

  147. 147

    فِىجَنَّـٰتٍۢوَعُيُونٍۢ١٤٧

    ENWithin gardens and springs

  148. 148

    وَزُرُوعٍۢوَنَخْلٍۢطَلْعُهَاهَضِيمٌۭ١٤٨

    ENAnd fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit?

  149. 149

    وَتَنْحِتُونَمِنَٱلْجِبَالِبُيُوتًۭافَـٰرِهِينَ١٤٩

    ENAnd you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill.

  150. 150

    فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ١٥٠

    ENSo fear Allah and obey me.

  151. 151

    وَلَاتُطِيعُوٓا۟أَمْرَٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ١٥١

    ENAnd do not obey the order of the transgressors,

  152. 152

    ٱلَّذِينَيُفْسِدُونَفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَلَايُصْلِحُونَ١٥٢

    ENWho cause corruption in the land and do not amend."

  153. 153

    قَالُوٓا۟إِنَّمَآأَنتَمِنَٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ١٥٣

    ENThey said, "You are only of those affected by magic.

  154. 154

    مَآأَنتَإِلَّابَشَرٌۭمِّثْلُنَافَأْتِبِـَٔايَةٍإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ١٥٤

    ENYou are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful."

  155. 155

    قَالَهَـٰذِهِۦنَاقَةٌۭلَّهَاشِرْبٌۭوَلَكُمْشِرْبُيَوْمٍۢمَّعْلُومٍۢ١٥٥

    ENHe said, "This is a she-camel. For her is a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink, [each] on a known day.

  156. 156

    وَلَاتَمَسُّوهَابِسُوٓءٍۢفَيَأْخُذَكُمْعَذَابُيَوْمٍعَظِيمٍۢ١٥٦

    ENAnd do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day."

  157. 157

    فَعَقَرُوهَافَأَصْبَحُوا۟نَـٰدِمِينَ١٥٧

    ENBut they hamstrung her and so became regretful.

  158. 158

    فَأَخَذَهُمُٱلْعَذَابُ ۗإِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ١٥٨

    ENAnd the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

  159. 159

    وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ١٥٩

    ENAnd indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

  160. 160

    كَذَّبَتْقَوْمُلُوطٍٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ١٦٠

    ENThe people of Lot denied the messengers

  161. 161

    إِذْقَالَلَهُمْأَخُوهُمْلُوطٌأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ١٦١

    ENWhen their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

  162. 162

    إِنِّىلَكُمْرَسُولٌأَمِينٌۭ١٦٢

    ENIndeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

  163. 163

    فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ١٦٣

    ENSo fear Allah and obey me.

  164. 164

    وَمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍ ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ١٦٤

    ENAnd I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

  165. 165

    أَتَأْتُونَٱلذُّكْرَانَمِنَٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ١٦٥

    ENDo you approach males among the worlds

  166. 166

    وَتَذَرُونَمَاخَلَقَلَكُمْرَبُّكُممِّنْأَزْوَٰجِكُم ۚبَلْأَنتُمْقَوْمٌعَادُونَ١٦٦

    ENAnd leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing."

  167. 167

    قَالُوا۟لَئِنلَّمْتَنتَهِيَـٰلُوطُلَتَكُونَنَّمِنَٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ١٦٧

    ENThey said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted."

  168. 168

    قَالَإِنِّىلِعَمَلِكُممِّنَٱلْقَالِينَ١٦٨

    ENHe said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it].

  169. 169

    رَبِّنَجِّنِىوَأَهْلِىمِمَّايَعْمَلُونَ١٦٩

    ENMy Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do."

  170. 170

    فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُوَأَهْلَهُۥٓأَجْمَعِينَ١٧٠

    ENSo We saved him and his family, all,

  171. 171

    إِلَّاعَجُوزًۭافِىٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ١٧١

    ENExcept an old woman among those who remained behind.

  172. 172

    ثُمَّدَمَّرْنَاٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ١٧٢

    ENThen We destroyed the others.

  173. 173

    وَأَمْطَرْنَاعَلَيْهِممَّطَرًۭا ۖفَسَآءَمَطَرُٱلْمُنذَرِينَ١٧٣

    ENAnd We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.

  174. 174

    إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ١٧٤

    ENIndeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

  175. 175

    وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ١٧٥

    ENAnd indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

  176. 176

    كَذَّبَأَصْحَـٰبُلْـَٔيْكَةِٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ١٧٦

    ENThe companions of the thicket denied the messengers

  177. 177

    إِذْقَالَلَهُمْشُعَيْبٌأَلَاتَتَّقُونَ١٧٧

    ENWhen Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

  178. 178

    إِنِّىلَكُمْرَسُولٌأَمِينٌۭ١٧٨

    ENIndeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

  179. 179

    فَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱللَّهَوَأَطِيعُونِ١٧٩

    ENSo fear Allah and obey me.

  180. 180

    وَمَآأَسْـَٔلُكُمْعَلَيْهِمِنْأَجْرٍ ۖإِنْأَجْرِىَإِلَّاعَلَىٰرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ١٨٠

    ENAnd I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

  181. 181

    ۞ أَوْفُوا۟ٱلْكَيْلَوَلَاتَكُونُوا۟مِنَٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ١٨١

    ENGive full measure and do not be of those who cause loss.

  182. 182

    وَزِنُوا۟بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ١٨٢

    ENAnd weigh with an even balance.

  183. 183

    وَلَاتَبْخَسُوا۟ٱلنَّاسَأَشْيَآءَهُمْوَلَاتَعْثَوْا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِمُفْسِدِينَ١٨٣

    ENAnd do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.

  184. 184

    وَٱتَّقُوا۟ٱلَّذِىخَلَقَكُمْوَٱلْجِبِلَّةَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ١٨٤

    ENAnd fear He who created you and the former creation."

  185. 185

    قَالُوٓا۟إِنَّمَآأَنتَمِنَٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ١٨٥

    ENThey said, "You are only of those affected by magic.

  186. 186

    وَمَآأَنتَإِلَّابَشَرٌۭمِّثْلُنَاوَإِننَّظُنُّكَلَمِنَٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ١٨٦

    ENYou are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars.

  187. 187

    فَأَسْقِطْعَلَيْنَاكِسَفًۭامِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ١٨٧

    ENSo cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful."

  188. 188

    قَالَرَبِّىٓأَعْلَمُبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَ١٨٨

    ENHe said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do."

  189. 189

    فَكَذَّبُوهُفَأَخَذَهُمْعَذَابُيَوْمِٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚإِنَّهُۥكَانَعَذَابَيَوْمٍعَظِيمٍ١٨٩

    ENAnd they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day.

  190. 190

    إِنَّفِىذَٰلِكَلَـَٔايَةًۭ ۖوَمَاكَانَأَكْثَرُهُممُّؤْمِنِينَ١٩٠

    ENIndeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

  191. 191

    وَإِنَّرَبَّكَلَهُوَٱلْعَزِيزُٱلرَّحِيمُ١٩١

    ENAnd indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

  192. 192

    وَإِنَّهُۥلَتَنزِيلُرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ١٩٢

    ENAnd indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.

  193. 193

    نَزَلَبِهِٱلرُّوحُٱلْأَمِينُ١٩٣

    ENThe Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down

  194. 194

    عَلَىٰقَلْبِكَلِتَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُنذِرِينَ١٩٤

    ENUpon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners -

  195. 195

    بِلِسَانٍعَرَبِىٍّۢمُّبِينٍۢ١٩٥

    ENIn a clear Arabic language.

  196. 196

    وَإِنَّهُۥلَفِىزُبُرِٱلْأَوَّلِينَ١٩٦

    ENAnd indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples.

  197. 197

    أَوَلَمْيَكُنلَّهُمْءَايَةًأَنيَعْلَمَهُۥعُلَمَـٰٓؤُا۟بَنِىٓإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ١٩٧

    ENAnd has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?

  198. 198

    وَلَوْنَزَّلْنَـٰهُعَلَىٰبَعْضِٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ١٩٨

    ENAnd even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners

  199. 199

    فَقَرَأَهُۥعَلَيْهِممَّاكَانُوا۟بِهِۦمُؤْمِنِينَ١٩٩

    ENAnd he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it.

  200. 200

    كَذَٰلِكَسَلَكْنَـٰهُفِىقُلُوبِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ٢٠٠

    ENThus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals.

  201. 201

    لَايُؤْمِنُونَبِهِۦحَتَّىٰيَرَوُا۟ٱلْعَذَابَٱلْأَلِيمَ٢٠١

    ENThey will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment.

  202. 202

    فَيَأْتِيَهُمبَغْتَةًۭوَهُمْلَايَشْعُرُونَ٢٠٢

    ENAnd it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not.

  203. 203

    فَيَقُولُوا۟هَلْنَحْنُمُنظَرُونَ٢٠٣

    ENAnd they will say, "May we be reprieved?"

  204. 204

    أَفَبِعَذَابِنَايَسْتَعْجِلُونَ٢٠٤

    ENSo for Our punishment are they impatient?

  205. 205

    أَفَرَءَيْتَإِنمَّتَّعْنَـٰهُمْسِنِينَ٢٠٥

    ENThen have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years

  206. 206

    ثُمَّجَآءَهُممَّاكَانُوا۟يُوعَدُونَ٢٠٦

    ENAnd then there came to them that which they were promised?

  207. 207

    مَآأَغْنَىٰعَنْهُممَّاكَانُوا۟يُمَتَّعُونَ٢٠٧

    ENThey would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided.

  208. 208

    وَمَآأَهْلَكْنَامِنقَرْيَةٍإِلَّالَهَامُنذِرُونَ٢٠٨

    ENAnd We did not destroy any city except that it had warners

  209. 209

    ذِكْرَىٰوَمَاكُنَّاظَـٰلِمِينَ٢٠٩

    ENAs a reminder; and never have We been unjust.

  210. 210

    وَمَاتَنَزَّلَتْبِهِٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ٢١٠

    ENAnd the devils have not brought the revelation down.

  211. 211

    وَمَايَنۢبَغِىلَهُمْوَمَايَسْتَطِيعُونَ٢١١

    ENIt is not allowable for them, nor would they be able.

  212. 212

    إِنَّهُمْعَنِٱلسَّمْعِلَمَعْزُولُونَ٢١٢

    ENIndeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed.

  213. 213

    فَلَاتَدْعُمَعَٱللَّهِإِلَـٰهًاءَاخَرَفَتَكُونَمِنَٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ٢١٣

    ENSo do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished.

  214. 214

    وَأَنذِرْعَشِيرَتَكَٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ٢١٤

    ENAnd warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred.

  215. 215

    وَٱخْفِضْجَنَاحَكَلِمَنِٱتَّبَعَكَمِنَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ٢١٥

    ENAnd lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers.

  216. 216

    فَإِنْعَصَوْكَفَقُلْإِنِّىبَرِىٓءٌۭمِّمَّاتَعْمَلُونَ٢١٦

    ENAnd if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing."

  217. 217

    وَتَوَكَّلْعَلَىٱلْعَزِيزِٱلرَّحِيمِ٢١٧

    ENAnd rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

  218. 218

    ٱلَّذِىيَرَىٰكَحِينَتَقُومُ٢١٨

    ENWho sees you when you arise

  219. 219

    وَتَقَلُّبَكَفِىٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ٢١٩

    ENAnd your movement among those who prostrate.

  220. 220

    إِنَّهُۥهُوَٱلسَّمِيعُٱلْعَلِيمُ٢٢٠

    ENIndeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

  221. 221

    هَلْأُنَبِّئُكُمْعَلَىٰمَنتَنَزَّلُٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ٢٢١

    ENShall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?

  222. 222

    تَنَزَّلُعَلَىٰكُلِّأَفَّاكٍأَثِيمٍۢ٢٢٢

    ENThey descend upon every sinful liar.

  223. 223

    يُلْقُونَٱلسَّمْعَوَأَكْثَرُهُمْكَـٰذِبُونَ٢٢٣

    ENThey pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.

  224. 224

    وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُيَتَّبِعُهُمُٱلْغَاوُۥنَ٢٢٤

    ENAnd the poets - [only] the deviators follow them;

  225. 225

    أَلَمْتَرَأَنَّهُمْفِىكُلِّوَادٍۢيَهِيمُونَ٢٢٥

    ENDo you not see that in every valley they roam

  226. 226

    وَأَنَّهُمْيَقُولُونَمَالَايَفْعَلُونَ٢٢٦

    ENAnd that they say what they do not do? -

  227. 227

    إِلَّاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَعَمِلُوا۟ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِوَذَكَرُوا۟ٱللَّهَكَثِيرًۭاوَٱنتَصَرُوا۟مِنۢبَعْدِمَاظُلِمُوا۟ ۗوَسَيَعْلَمُٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوٓا۟أَىَّمُنقَلَبٍۢيَنقَلِبُونَ٢٢٧

    ENExcept those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.
