- 1
وَيْلٌۭلِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ١
ENWoe to those who give less [than due],
- 2
ٱلَّذِينَإِذَاٱكْتَالُوا۟عَلَىٱلنَّاسِيَسْتَوْفُونَ٢
ENWho, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
- 3
وَإِذَاكَالُوهُمْأَووَّزَنُوهُمْيُخْسِرُونَ٣
ENBut if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.
- 4
أَلَايَظُنُّأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَأَنَّهُممَّبْعُوثُونَ٤
ENDo they not think that they will be resurrected
- 5
لِيَوْمٍعَظِيمٍۢ٥
ENFor a tremendous Day -
- 6
يَوْمَيَقُومُٱلنَّاسُلِرَبِّٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ٦
ENThe Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
- 7
كَلَّآإِنَّكِتَـٰبَٱلْفُجَّارِلَفِىسِجِّينٍۢ٧
ENNo! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.
- 8
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاسِجِّينٌۭ٨
ENAnd what can make you know what is sijjeen?
- 9
كِتَـٰبٌۭمَّرْقُومٌۭ٩
ENIt is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.
- 10
وَيْلٌۭيَوْمَئِذٍۢلِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ١٠
ENWoe, that Day, to the deniers,
- 11
ٱلَّذِينَيُكَذِّبُونَبِيَوْمِٱلدِّينِ١١
ENWho deny the Day of Recompense.
- 12
وَمَايُكَذِّبُبِهِۦٓإِلَّاكُلُّمُعْتَدٍأَثِيمٍ١٢
ENAnd none deny it except every sinful transgressor.
- 13
إِذَاتُتْلَىٰعَلَيْهِءَايَـٰتُنَاقَالَأَسَـٰطِيرُٱلْأَوَّلِينَ١٣
ENWhen Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."
- 14
كَلَّا ۖبَلْ ۜرَانَعَلَىٰقُلُوبِهِممَّاكَانُوا۟يَكْسِبُونَ١٤
ENNo! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.
- 15
كَلَّآإِنَّهُمْعَنرَّبِّهِمْيَوْمَئِذٍۢلَّمَحْجُوبُونَ١٥
ENNo! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.
- 16
ثُمَّإِنَّهُمْلَصَالُوا۟ٱلْجَحِيمِ١٦
ENThen indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.
- 17
ثُمَّيُقَالُهَـٰذَاٱلَّذِىكُنتُمبِهِۦتُكَذِّبُونَ١٧
ENThen it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny."
- 18
كَلَّآإِنَّكِتَـٰبَٱلْأَبْرَارِلَفِىعِلِّيِّينَ١٨
ENNo! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun.
- 19
وَمَآأَدْرَىٰكَمَاعِلِّيُّونَ١٩
ENAnd what can make you know what is 'illiyyun?
- 20
كِتَـٰبٌۭمَّرْقُومٌۭ٢٠
ENIt is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed
- 21
يَشْهَدُهُٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ٢١
ENWhich is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].
- 22
إِنَّٱلْأَبْرَارَلَفِىنَعِيمٍ٢٢
ENIndeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
- 23
عَلَىٱلْأَرَآئِكِيَنظُرُونَ٢٣
ENOn adorned couches, observing.
- 24
تَعْرِفُفِىوُجُوهِهِمْنَضْرَةَٱلنَّعِيمِ٢٤
ENYou will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.
- 25
يُسْقَوْنَمِنرَّحِيقٍۢمَّخْتُومٍ٢٥
ENThey will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.
- 26
خِتَـٰمُهُۥمِسْكٌۭ ۚوَفِىذَٰلِكَفَلْيَتَنَافَسِٱلْمُتَنَـٰفِسُونَ٢٦
ENThe last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.
- 27
وَمِزَاجُهُۥمِنتَسْنِيمٍ٢٧
ENAnd its mixture is of Tasneem,
- 28
عَيْنًۭايَشْرَبُبِهَاٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ٢٨
ENA spring from which those near [to Allah] drink.
- 29
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَأَجْرَمُوا۟كَانُوا۟مِنَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟يَضْحَكُونَ٢٩
ENIndeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
- 30
وَإِذَامَرُّوا۟بِهِمْيَتَغَامَزُونَ٣٠
ENAnd when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.
- 31
وَإِذَاٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟إِلَىٰٓأَهْلِهِمُٱنقَلَبُوا۟فَكِهِينَ٣١
ENAnd when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
- 32
وَإِذَارَأَوْهُمْقَالُوٓا۟إِنَّهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِلَضَآلُّونَ٣٢
ENAnd when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."
- 33
وَمَآأُرْسِلُوا۟عَلَيْهِمْحَـٰفِظِينَ٣٣
ENBut they had not been sent as guardians over them.
- 34
فَٱلْيَوْمَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟مِنَٱلْكُفَّارِيَضْحَكُونَ٣٤
ENSo Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,
- 35
عَلَىٱلْأَرَآئِكِيَنظُرُونَ٣٥
ENOn adorned couches, observing.
- 36
هَلْثُوِّبَٱلْكُفَّارُمَاكَانُوا۟يَفْعَلُونَ٣٦
ENHave the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?
