- 1
سَبِّحِٱسْمَرَبِّكَٱلْأَعْلَى١
ENExalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,
- 2
ٱلَّذِىخَلَقَفَسَوَّىٰ٢
ENWho created and proportioned
- 3
وَٱلَّذِىقَدَّرَفَهَدَىٰ٣
ENAnd who destined and [then] guided
- 4
وَٱلَّذِىٓأَخْرَجَٱلْمَرْعَىٰ٤
ENAnd who brings out the pasture
- 5
فَجَعَلَهُۥغُثَآءًأَحْوَىٰ٥
ENAnd [then] makes it black stubble.
- 6
سَنُقْرِئُكَفَلَاتَنسَىٰٓ٦
ENWe will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,
- 7
إِلَّامَاشَآءَٱللَّهُ ۚإِنَّهُۥيَعْلَمُٱلْجَهْرَوَمَايَخْفَىٰ٧
ENExcept what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.
- 8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَلِلْيُسْرَىٰ٨
ENAnd We will ease you toward ease.
- 9
فَذَكِّرْإِننَّفَعَتِٱلذِّكْرَىٰ٩
ENSo remind, if the reminder should benefit;
- 10
سَيَذَّكَّرُمَنيَخْشَىٰ١٠
ENHe who fears [Allah] will be reminded.
- 11
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَاٱلْأَشْقَى١١
ENBut the wretched one will avoid it -
- 12
ٱلَّذِىيَصْلَىٱلنَّارَٱلْكُبْرَىٰ١٢
EN[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,
- 13
ثُمَّلَايَمُوتُفِيهَاوَلَايَحْيَىٰ١٣
ENNeither dying therein nor living.
- 14
قَدْأَفْلَحَمَنتَزَكَّىٰ١٤
ENHe has certainly succeeded who purifies himself
- 15
وَذَكَرَٱسْمَرَبِّهِۦفَصَلَّىٰ١٥
ENAnd mentions the name of his Lord and prays.
- 16
بَلْتُؤْثِرُونَٱلْحَيَوٰةَٱلدُّنْيَا١٦
ENBut you prefer the worldly life,
- 17
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُخَيْرٌۭوَأَبْقَىٰٓ١٧
ENWhile the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
- 18
إِنَّهَـٰذَالَفِىٱلصُّحُفِٱلْأُولَىٰ١٨
ENIndeed, this is in the former scriptures,
- 19
صُحُفِإِبْرَٰهِيمَوَمُوسَىٰ١٩
ENThe scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
